8(a) STARS II is a Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (MA-IDIQ) contract engineered to provide cutting-edge technology solutions from award-winning 8(a) small businesses to federal agencies. Using 8(a) STARS II enables federal agencies access to 8(a) firms through an established contract vehicle instead of traditional, open market methods – saving time and taxpayer money.
The scope of the 8(a) STARS II Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is centered on four Functional Areas (FAs) derived from the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS).
Sawdey Solution Services, Inc. (Sawdey) was granted an award as a Prime in each of these four FAs:
- Custom Computer Programming Services
- Computer Facilities Management Services
- Computer Systems Design Services
- Other Computer Related Services
The contract offers simple to complex Information Technology (IT) Service Solutions, including, but not limited to:
- IT Help-Desk Support
- Information Assurance
- Web 2.0
Directed Task Orders up to $4 Million Each:
8(a) STARS II allows sole-source task order awards for orders under $4 million, including options. Orders of more than $4 million must be competed among the industry partners in the chosen constellation and FA.
Access to Multiple Types of Task Orders:
8(a) STARS II offers fixed price, time and materials, labor hour, and blended task order types, providing greater flexibility in procuring diverse types of IT products and services to meet mission requirements.
